Hennessy Getting Ready To Debut Hennessy Black

Hennessy is getting ready to debut Hennessy Black, its first major launch since 1961. The new cognac drink from Hennessy has a blend of Jasmine, daffodils and orange flowers mixed with citrus, honey and grapes. The company hopes to take cognac drinks to a new market with this mix and move from cognac market alone to mixed spirits. Hennessy always seems to promote their products by engaging their target market and this launch will be no different. The company will be launching a dance contest called “up/down” on their YouTube Channel where users will be able to create their own “up/down” dance. Winner will be flown to LA and the dance will be featured in a video called “When I step in the club.”

Hennessy and rapper Swizz Beatz are teaming up for the launch and the song “When I step into the club” will be the theme for the launch of Hennessy Black. According to Andy Glaser, Senior VP of Hennessy,

Beatz is a long-time fan of the brand and approached us looking for ways we could work together. Since this product is all about having fun in the club, he suggested collaborating on a track that would be a hot dance song in the clubs.

Hennessy Black is a limited line of cognac and will be available in 10 U.S. markets including Arizona, Georgia, Illinois, Indiana, Louisiana, New York City, Ohio, Washington DC and Massachusetts.Although cognac is usually seen as a drink not to be mixed, Hennessy Black will come with recipes for variety of mixed drinks such as Hennessy Black ice (with lemon juice and sugar); Hennessy Black Bull (coffee Liqueur and cola with ice); Hennessy Black Spice (ginger, syrup and lemon juice); and Hennessy Black Royale (champagne, lemon juice and syrup). The launch event is set for May 5th during which rapper Swizz beatz will be performing “When I step in the Club.”

   It seems only these states will have the Hennessy Black available: Arizona, Georgia, Illinois, Indiana, Louisiana, New York City, Ohio, Washington DC and Massachusetts.

   The stuff is great, my boy bought bought 750ml for 42 bucks about the same price that I bought Remy Martin V.S.O.P. I thought that it was pricey since its not a VSOP but once I tried it its very smooth and easy to sip straight. Plus its 86 proof so in comparison to Remy VSOP its better.

    I sent Hennessy an e-mail asking where/when I could buy it in California and they sent me a response with a list of liquor stores in California that should carry it. I called all of the ones on the list…none of them have it. I also contacted local large distributors and they said they don’t carry it and haven’t been able to get it. Not sure why they are doing this but there is a big demand!

    Recently took a trip to NYC. Brought back a couple of bottles to Cali. Everyone here loves them. They need to stock up in Cali liquor stores soon!

    I know they claim to not have Henny Black in Florida but lo and behold I was in Orlando a few weeks ago and had some in a nightclub call Rain. It was love at first sip! I’ve been drinking Hennessey for years and now I’m on the hunt for more Hennessey Black in Florida. I’m going to the Bahamas in a week and will try locate some there. I know they have the white there (never tried it before) but I’m CRAVING another sip of the Black!!! Can’t wait for it to hit the shelves!

    i live in TX,,after calling all major distributors all over the state.i ordered mine of the internet from new york ..had to pay few bucks extra for shipping but was totally worh it
