The world of cognac is steeped in history, tradition, and craftsmanship. Among the great cognac houses that have withstood the test of time is the House of Hardy. Founded in 1863 by Scottish wine and spirits dealer Anthony Hardy, the House of Hardy has been producing some of the finest cognacs in the world for over a century.

Mr. Hardy, who had been travelling back and forth from his native Scotland to the Charente on business, finally decided to settle in Cognac and open a distillery. Thus, the House of Hardy was born. Like many of the cognac houses founded by expatriates, the House of Hardy began exporting cognac to Czarist Russia, and over the years, it has built a reputation for quality and luxury.

Today, the House of Hardy is run by Bénédicte Hardy, the fifth generation of Hardy cognac makers. The House of Hardy produces a wide range of quality cognacs, including VS, VSOP, XO, XO Rare, Noces d’ Argent, Noces d’ Argent, Noces d’ Pearl, Noces de Diamant, and Noces de d’Albâtre. All of these cognacs are crafted from a blend of eaux-de-vie aged thirty, fifty, and sixty years.

The ultimate luxury cognac produced by Hardy is Perfection Lumiere, which was launched in 1981. This exquisite cognac was once listed in the Guinness Book of World Records as the Most Expensive Cognac. While the most expensive cognac as of 2017 is a bottle of Croizet Cognac “Cuvée Leonie” 1858, which sold for 1,000,000 Swiss Francs, Perfection Lumiere remains a testament to Hardy’s commitment to excellence.

Hardy’s symbol is the rooster, which adorns the bottles of its VS and VSOP cognacs. Hardy also produces an organic VSOP cognac, demonstrating the house’s dedication to sustainability and quality.

In conclusion, the House of Hardy is a cognac house with a rich history and a legacy of quality and luxury. If you are looking for a truly exceptional cognac, you can’t go wrong with Hardy.
