De Luze Cognac, established in 1822 by Alfred De Luze in Bordeaux, France, is a storied house with roots tracing back to an adventurous transatlantic venture. Originally founded as A. De Luze & Fils by Alfred and his sons after he returned from New York—where he and his brother Louis-Philippe built a wine and spirits trade—the brand now thrives under the Boinaud family, who acquired it in 2006. Based in Angeac-Champagne, it boasts 410 hectares of Grande Champagne vineyards and the region’s largest private distillery, with 41 pot-stills crafting its Fine Champagne blends—70% Grande Champagne and 30% Petite Champagne. Known for elegant, light-bodied cognacs like VS, VSOP, and the award-winning XO, aged up to 20 years, De Luze marries tradition with a modern flair, delivering floral and fruity notes with a refined finish.
