Louis Royer cognac is a brand that dates back to 1853, founded by Louis Royer, a cellar master and son of a renowned local stonemason in the small town of Jarnac in France. Louis Royer infused his brand with his humanist values, generosity, love of a job well done, sense of teamwork, patience, and desire to reveal and offer the best that the fruit can offer.

As a passionate beekeeper, the bee naturally became a symbol of his cognacs and of his dedication. His hard work, patience, and generosity all showed in the exceptional fruity cognacs that he produced. Today, Louis Royer cognac is still a family business that ages oak casks in their traditional warehouses on the banks of the Charente River.

Louis Royer is committed to the values of their founder, with each bottle they produce a reflection of the skills and passion of their people, from vine to glass. The entire creative process is managed in-house using their craft and skills, honed over generations, to work with nature’s rhythm and better honor the fruit. The journey begins in their vineyard in Grande Champagne, where the fruit is allowed to grow to its optimum ripeness before picking and pressing.

Their cognacs are double distilled in 9 copper pot stills, from October until March 31st of the year following the harvest. As one of the few cognac houses to retain traditional cellars along the banks of the Charente River, they benefit from year-round natural temperatures and humidity that enable the smooth development, through the aging process, of Louis Royer’s mellow and signature full-fruit style.

With their own vineyard, distillery, cellars, and bottling facility strengthened by the experience passed down through five generations of the Louis Royer family, they expertly manage and control every step of the process themselves from vine to glass. Their cognac collection ranges from VS to XO to Extra, with an aging from 35 to 50 years in their traditional cellars on the banks of the Charente River.

Louis Royer cognac is a brand that has been producing high-quality cognacs for over 160 years. With a commitment to traditional values, a passion for quality, and a dedication to the craft, Louis Royer cognac is a great choice for anyone looking to explore the world of cognac. Whether you are a seasoned cognac enthusiast or a newcomer to the world of spirits, Louis Royer cognac is sure to impress with its exceptional flavor and quality
