The cost of storing cognac for extended periods, along with the loss of volume due to evaporation (known as the “angel’s share”), significantly drives up its price.

The demand for cognac has been steadily increasing worldwide, leading to scarcity and further driving up the prices. Additionally, the production process cannot be rushed, as the spirit needs time to mature.
