Kelt Cognac has a unique aging process using the sea to mature their barrels. Kelt Cognac is matured in oak barrels for several years on land, then transferred to barrels that are loaded onto ships and allowed to travel around the world, exposed to the constant motion of the sea, which they claim gives the cognac a unique character. Frankly, we find this smooth cognac delightful.
